This single is remarkable since it is the first time Ben has started a beat. Finished mixing it. Sent to 66notes. And 66notes sent his mix back- all within 24 hours.
Last nite, Sat Nov 26th, was such a vibe! Amazing musicians & even better People came out to the Moose in West Chester, PA. A chill, members only, dive bar in the basement of the Elks. Surrounded by a super friendly, Cheers type wrap-around bar & pool tables & shuffle board. Comfy chairs & chess tables. We felt comfortable immediately. Warmly greeted by the booking agent / sound guy. We really dug deep & brought out our best ever performances! We will be doing another event this in Jan 2023. This will include afternoon songwriting, recording, artist development, drawing, painting, beat making & poetry workshops in the afternoon. Follwed by an open mic / cypher & finished by an early Variety / showcase performance- like 7pm – 10pm. Where we have 4, 5 acts – 20-30mins each. Hiphop lyricists, R&B/soul singers, singer/songwriters, poets / affirmations & standup comedy!

“Money” has a soulful hook from Lancaster, PA based singer/songwriter Jefferson Ambrose.
66notes originally created the concept for this hiphop throwback beat by Benjamin Oaks aka BenOaks fka V1TAL of The Numinous.
Benjamin Oaks aka BenOaks releases his 1st all hiphop album. BenOaks has been making hiphop since buying his drum machine (Alesis HR-16b) at age 15 in 1993. And he has produced hundreds of singles & a few albums for other artists. But this is his first album using the all hiphop moniker “BenOaks”.
BenOaks is Ben’s hiphop stage name. It differentiates between his usual electronica. He also uses the name V1TAL to release dance music.
in 2012 Ben posted Craigslist ads in most major United States cities. After combing through hundreds of submissions, Benjamin Oaks found the handful of incredibly talented lyricists featured on “SAMSARA”
“SAMSARA” was recording between 2012-2015. It took so long to release because it went through two different record label distributors going out of business. There were 3 weeks in the past 3 years where it was available on all major retailers.
After relaunching the musical collaboration project Bones Culture-BenOaks, 66notes, Jefferson Ambrose, Nick the Blacklisted & Android Eddie decided to relaunch our record label & publishing company madPHATTER music. And also our media parent PH Makes an F Sound (which also specializes in live events, social media marketing, branding & design).
“SAMSARA” definition from Wikipedia: Saṃsāra is a Sanskrit word that means “wandering” or “world”, with the connotation of cyclic, circuitous change. It is also the concept of rebirth and “cyclicality of all life, matter, existence”, a fundamental belief of most Indian religions. In short, it is the cycle of death and rebirth. Saṃsāra is sometimes referred to with terms or phrases such as transmigration, karmic cycle, reincarnation, and “cycle of aimless drifting, wandering or mundane existence”.
66notes sets fire to the mic on this mid 90s flavored banger by BenOaks. Featuring his signature grimey bass & alternative guitars mixed w powerful 808 & this time an uptempo, Soul style beat.
