‘Hieronymus’ by BenOaks – 2023 lofi / boombap BEAT tape

BenOaks is almost done mixing his upcoming BEAT TAPE called ‘Hieronymus’. Named after his first favorite artist.

“My mom would sometimes have to drop us off at the library as kids. She was a single mother living in a new state. She didnt have many friends yet. So she would drop me and my little sister off at the library when i was like 10, 11. I devoured those books. I developed a life long live of learning.”

“The first book I can remember being obsessed with was this book about art. I am a huge fan of Escher, Rembrandt, Pollock, Duchamp, Basquiat, Warhol, Goya, Mondrain, all the moderns. But the first art work that I was really drawn to was The Garden of Earthly Delights by Hieronymus Bosch. We have a piece of that in our restroom.”

‘Hieronymus’ is now available ONLY on Bandcamp until it hits all the streaming sites on 1/1/23

BenOaks also has two other albums due out Winter ’23: his feature-heavy “solo” reggae album called “LongSufferer” and the 3rd Bones Culture compilation featuring BenOaks’ collaboration work from 2020-now. Feed your Spirit with ‘SoulFood’! The third of BenOaks’ lofi / boombap trilogy released in the past year. Following ‘Gemini Vibes’ & ‘Lofi Dreams’. This album of jazzy, funky, soulful triphop instrumentals & lofi beats is very hopeful & less melancholy than ‘Lofi Dreams’ & ‘Gemini Vibes’ even though it was recorded mostly in May of this year when BenOaks was very suicidal. He later received professional help. After intensive therapy this summer, Benjamin Oaks has made a full mental health recovery thanks to regular community service, a home-made food diet, regular spiritual practice, and a loving home.

Help support Ben’s work of producing indie artists by downloading ‘SoulFood’ on Bandcamp! ‘SoulFood’ drops on all the streaming services on Samhain 2022 (10/31/22)
