BenOaks presenta el sencillo “Summer’s Day” ft Lee Morr (EE.UU.)

LOVE from ARGENTINA from R mas!

R+

Siempre me preguntaba si estaba haciendo nuevos ritmos. Me tomé unos años libres…

incredible animated hiphop music video for 66notes “Empathy”

New Bones Culture collaborator & graphic artist, Hive Drive aka @unimpressed.media created this incredible music video for the latest Beastcoast boombap single from Bones Culture- 66notes “Empathy”

“They (Notes & Oax) brought the concept of using an avatar for 66notes, in the form of a hooded sweatshirt with some type of anamorphic face emoting for him. And this video is the product of that. I think the lone character shrouded in this hoodie represents the loneliness we all feel and that works really cohesively with the lyrical content.

I also wanted to include graphics that give a comic book type of feel. I think I’m today’s society the ability to empathize with another human is rare enough to be a superpower.”

Hive Driver (a mixed media artist- photographer, digital artist, painter) is, “just a guy who wants to put as much creativity out in the ether as possible.” look for music collaborations with V1TAL and DHXQHU in 2021. Hive Drive also designed the cover for the last single featuring 66notes from Jefferson Ambrose “Give it Away”. He also designed the recent merch line in new Bones Culture store!

66notes and BenOaks have been creating music together for close to 10 years (though they have still yet to meet in person): starting with their triphop project the Numinous (along with Devy Dev Dev released a full length album and an EP) and continuing with their soon to be released, side-project D3DM3N.

BenOaks’ hiphop masterpiece – “SAMSARA”

Benjamin Oaks aka BenOaks releases his 1st all hiphop album. BenOaks has been making hiphop since buying his drum machine (Alesis HR-16b) at age 15 in 1993. And he has produced hundreds of singles & a few albums for other artists. But this is his first album using the all hiphop moniker “BenOaks”.

BenOaks is Ben’s hiphop stage name. It differentiates between his usual electronica. He also uses the name V1TAL to release dance music.

in 2012 Ben posted Craigslist ads in most major United States cities. After combing through hundreds of submissions, Benjamin Oaks found the handful of incredibly talented lyricists featured on “SAMSARA”

“SAMSARA” was recording between 2012-2015. It took so long to release because it went through two different record label distributors going out of business. There were 3 weeks in the past 3 years where it was available on all major retailers.

After relaunching the musical collaboration project Bones Culture-BenOaks, 66notes, Jefferson Ambrose, Nick the Blacklisted & Android Eddie decided to relaunch our record label & publishing company madPHATTER music. And also our media parent PH Makes an F Sound (which also specializes in live events, social media marketing, branding & design).

“SAMSARA” definition from Wikipedia: Saṃsāra is a Sanskrit word that means “wandering” or “world”, with the connotation of cyclic, circuitous change. It is also the concept of rebirth and “cyclicality of all life, matter, existence”, a fundamental belief of most Indian religions. In short, it is the cycle of death and rebirth. Saṃsāra is sometimes referred to with terms or phrases such as transmigration, karmic cycle, reincarnation, and “cycle of aimless drifting, wandering or mundane existence”.

Bones Culture is back!

When this pandemic began back in March of 2020, Benjamin Oaks took the free time (after being laid of from his house painting job) to begin producing again. He noticed a lot of his new musician friends in Lancaster, PA were out of gigs. So he took his stimulus money asked 10 of them to collaborate for his next solo album.

By the 4th or 5th track (“Bars” specifically) it became clear that it became time to…

“GET THE BAND BACK TOGETHER!”

Nick the Blacklisted & 4T (who appeared on the 1st Bones Culture compilation album “The Full Effect”, the second “SAMSARA”, the upcoming 3rd “Essential Goodness”) also happen to live not too far from Benjamin Oaks in Lancaster, PA.

PINK i was looking for a producer to make pop with since his usual musical theatre gigs are on hold.

JMissy & BenOaks had been trying to collab for a few years now.

All the pieces came together around the same time. Android Eddie & 66notes also recently re-inspired to drop lyrical bombs!
